It affords us considerable pleasure to present you this little tennis player!
Daria, when did you start practicing tennis, and who is your favorite player?
I started practicing when I was 6 and a half, in the town of Ryazan. I do not have a favorite player, I like the way many players play.
What do you prefer at tournaments: competing or making friends?
I prefer competing.
Which trophy is so far the dearest for you?
My dearest trophy is when I won an U-12 tournament in Ryazan, the finals lasted for 3 hours and I beat a girl who was 3 years older than me.
Could you tell us more about your tennis club, your coach and your teammates?
I practice at Elite tennis academy in Novi Sad, my coach is Aleksandar Jerinkić, and I do not have many girlfriends in the club because I mainly practice with boys.
What is your favorite shot in tennis and why?
Drop-shot, because it is very difficult for opponents to get to the ball.
Do you learn Serbian language, and who is helping you with school?
My coach helps me with my Serbian, and my parents help me with school.
Is this your first interview in Serbia?
This is my first interview ever.
Website editors: Maybe in ten years Daria will remember who interviewed her first 🙂
