Dear Sir or Madam,

The 2022 European Junior Championships are taking place from 18-24 July. This highlight of Europe’s junior tennis calendar will see 440 top players from 44 nations in action. The three age categories are played simultaneously at three different venues: 

14 & Under: Tenisový Klub Baník, Most (CZE)
16 & Under: Tenisový Klub Precheza, Přerov (CZE)
18 & Under: Sportzentrum Klosters, Klosters (SUI)

Live scoring and live streaming will be available from all three venues. Throughout the week, you can keep up with all the latest news, results, photos, streaming info and social media chatter on the event’s dedicated page at www.tenniseurope.org.

The North Macedonian squad for the Championships includes the following players:

Boys: (14&U) Maksimilijan Aleksovski, Kristijan Janev, (16&U) Amar Huseinovic, Filip Stojanovski (18&U) Marko Stoilkovski, Andrej Milevski

Girls: (14&U) Iva Keckarova, Sara Mitevska (16&U) Ana Mitevska, Katja Ivanovska (18&U) Aleksandra Simeva, Iva Daneva

Notes for Editors:

  • The European Junior Championships was first played in 1976
  • Tennis Europe member nations nominate two boys and two girls for each event
  • The Championships are the most prestigious event on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, with ranking points on offer for the 14 and 16 & Under categories. 18 & Under players receive ITF World Tennis Tour Junior ranking points
  • 12 world #1s – including Novak Djokovic, Stefan Edberg, Martina Hingis and Steffi Graf – feature among the previous singles champions
  • Mats Wilander (SWE) is the only player ever to win singles titles in all three age categories
  • Some of the hottest names in pro tennis, including Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Iga Swiatek and Clara Tauson, have won European Junior Championship titles in the past six years
  • The winner and runner-up of the 14 and 16 & Under categories receive invitations to compete at the season-ending Junior Masters, due to be held in Monte-Carlo (MON) in October
  • Each venue will also host a special session of the Tennis Europe Junior School, designed to educate and prepare young athletes for life as professional tennis players
